Gold Filled vs Gold Plated - What's the difference?

I'm often asked the difference between gold filled and gold plated jewelry. Here's the rundown compliments of Halstead.

I use gold filled components in my jewelry as a more affordable option to solid gold. I'm always happy to create in solid gold when requested and possible.

March is for Glass

So this month is for creating with glass (hint May will be too, but in another art form 😉). Moving back into jewelry for the month of March, next week I begin a 4 week course learning to enamel. I've been experimenting a bit, but it will be good to get some formal training under my belt as there's a lot to learn!
